During 2005-2011, the Walmart Private Fleet was able to increase efficiency by 69%. This was due to a number of factors to include reduced packaging material and size, greater cube utilization and improved routing guidelines. This enabled the company to deliver 65M more cases while driving 28M less miles. During 2010 alone this efficiency helped avoid 41M miles, saving $75M.
